Ephemeral intervention in front of the Mont-Royal metro station as part of the event titled Paysage Éphémère in Montreal during the summer of 2010.

For the 6th edition of Paysage Éphémère (Ephemeral Landscapes), the event aims to expand the art of landscape, transient and vernacular, while validating the social and historical value of public space as a meeting place. The artists were invited to celebrate the place of art in the urban space through ephemeral interventions, types of existential situations, on a journey in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal. Marc Dulude’s proposal within the framework of this event has as its leitmotif the relationship between humans and nature, specifically with the mountain. The artwork is a playful nod to the notions of urban space and the metaphor of travel. It recreates the idea of climbing a mountain to its summit, and the incomparable feeling of having a bird’s eye view of a landscape’s vastness.
