Medium :
Sculpture

Context :
Public artwork set up at the Henderson Lake Park in the city of Lethbridge, Alberta.

At the very core of this monumental work of art is the symbol of the stone brought back from one’s travels to remember the people, the encounters, and the land visited. The block made of Québec granite, thanks to an imprint left on the ground, appears to have been displaced and laid to rest by four bronze Canada geese, those faithful migratory birds that always return to the same places. This work of art is a gift from Saint-Laurent, Québec to the City of Lethbridge, Alberta, commemorating the two communities’ 50th town-twinning anniversary (1967-2017).
