Context :
Work produced as part of the Waterpod project, in New York. The work was presented in the group show titled Dans l’archipel du Waterpod at the Occurrence Artists Centre in Montreal (curator Eve K. Tremblay), from September 11th to October 16th, 2010, and as part of the solo exhibition titled Have you seen this? presented at the Stride Gallery in Calgary, from February 22nd to March 29th, 2013.

The exhibition titled Dans l’archipel du Waterpod presents a fragment of the shared history and personal experience of the partner artists who helped design and build the project and who have spent time on Waterpod: Mary Mattingly, Mira Hunter, Derek Hunter, Carissa Carman, Logan Smith, Alison Ward, Ian Daniel, and Eve K. Tremblay. It also presents the works of Canadian artists who were invited on board by Occurrence Artists Center for short residencies on Waterpod including BGL, Diane Borsato, Frederick Saia, Jean-Pierre Bourgault, Kate Greenslade, Marc Dulude, Rodney Latourelle, Sylvie Cotton. Additional artists participated during the project including Genevieve Rousseau, Gregory Chatonsky, and Charles Stankievech. This exhibition features works created by artists during their residencies and those designed in response to their experiences and experiments of the platform. Dans l’archipel du Waterpod displays clips of documentaries and works related to the world of fantasy and fiction of the Waterpod and the ideas surrounding it.
