Context :Public artwork set up at the Des Falaises school in Prévost.

The sculpture titled La Montée (The Climb) is inspired by the richness of the Rivière-du-Nord’s community and surroundings, and refers to the notion of an individual’s personal journey. With its twists and turns, its swirls and rapids, the river represents an individual’s path through various events over the course of their life. We can see the trout go upstream, jump, and cross the faces of the monolith like an aerial ballet and evolve through their learning experience towards self-fulfillment and wisdom.
