Through the play of coloured light on reflective surfaces, Dulude uses optical effects to create impressive, panoramic landscapes. Using materials (mirrors, aluminum foil, plastic, screens, and so on) that have the ability to deflect light, the artist takes over the space to offer a puzzling sensory experience, both seductive and playful. His works attempt to uncover the intimate, sometimes ambiguous, relationships we have with objects. Dulude’s fascination with how materials react to light stems from a diligent observation of nature and reveals a desire to question the way we see it, as well as our relationship to seeing and perceiving.
